Nose: Intense, citrus overtones with smoky and green apple notes.
Palate: Dry and fresh with orchard fruits, citrus and spices.
Finish: Gentle, smooth lemon and vanilla.
Nose: Elegant aromas of hazelnuts and freshly-cut grass.
Palate: Sweet and gentle notes of honey, white pepper and nutmeg.
Finish: Smooth and spiced.
‘The Matsui – Mizunara Cask’ Single Malt is distilled by the Kurayoshi distillery, Kurayoshi city - Tottori prefecture.
Double distilled in pot stills then aged in Mizunara oak casks. Mizunara is known for its rarity and the difficulty to work its tight grain to make barrels. Spirits aged in this type of oak gain unique and original flavours.
Ageing takes place in the Tottori prefecture in a natural environment very favourable to good ageing. It is then diluted down with high-quality natural spring water from Mont Daisen.

Blended from a combination of Coffey Grain, lightly peated Miyagikyo Single Malt and a small proportion of Coffey Malt and Yoichi Single Malt, this highly versatile whisky will please new whisky drinkers and connoisseurs alike.
